The Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers & Exporters Association (PRGMEA) stands as the premier trade organization representing Pakistan’s vibrant Readymade Garment Industry. Comprising over 500 exporters of value-added garments and textiles, PRGMEA is dedicated to safeguarding the interests of garment exporters while fostering a sustainable manufacturing landscape.

As the national partner of The International Apparel Federation (IAF) for Pakistan, PRGMEA proudly associates itself with the world’s premier federation for apparel manufacturers, small and medium-sized brands, their associations, and the supporting industry. With a global membership spanning over 40 countries, IAF’s inclusive network directly and indirectly represents an extensive network of companies and employees, encompassing over a hundred thousand businesses and more than 20 million workers. IAF serves as a unifying force, rallying members to enhance supply chain efficiency, intelligence, and sustainability. Through valuable insights, guidance, and representation on international platforms, IAF strives to advance industry standardization, harmonization, and collaborative solutions.

Sustainability by PRGMEA

Green Initiatives and Certifications

PRGMEA members actively embrace green initiatives. Many have adopted the High Index for effective energy consumption monitoring. Multiple members are LEED-certified by the US Green Building Council, demonstrating a commitment to environmental leadership. Some members lead in adopting zero discharge practices, aligned with ZDHC protocols.

Renewable Energy Adoption

Our members are embracing renewable energy, particularly solar power, bolstered by favorable policies of the Government of Pakistan. This shift towards sustainability aligns with a greener future.

Ecological Sustainability Partnership

PRGMEA partnered with Bavarian Employers’ Association (Bfz GmbH) for the Espire program. Supported by the German Ministry of Economic Cooperation & Development, Espire aims to enhance Pakistan's textile industry's economic and ecological efficiency. Members participate in Bfz GmbH training programs on diverse topics, ranging from modular production to energy conservation and environment management.

Net Zero

The Decarbonization Committee of PRGMEA is actively working with its members to calculate, reduce and offset scope 1 and scope 2 carbon emissions. The Committee has also partnered with some of the premier universities of Pakistan to carry out research in this regard. Through fostering the collaboration of businesses and academia, PRGMEA aims to make the Pakistani textile sector a model for Net Zero initiatives around the world.

Pakistan Readymade garments technical training institute

Pakistan Readymade Garment Technical Training Institute (PRGTTI) was established in the year 1997, with a mission to offer practices of management through training programs that makes meaningful contribution towards the global industry development. Since its inception in the training industry, the institute has built rapport in the market for its quality training programs.
